“Revive us, and we will call on your name. Restore us, O Lord God Almighty…”
(Psalm 80:18-19)

Here are a few quotes on revival. Take a little time to reflect on them.

A woman once asked Billy Sunday, “Why do you keep having revivals when it doesn’t last?” He asked her, “Why do you keep taking baths?”

“You never have to advertise a fire. Everyone comes running when there’s a fire. Likewise, if your church is on fire, you will not have to advertise it. The community will already know it.”  (Leonard Ravenhill)

“Revival is the church falling in love with Jesus all over again.” (Vance Havner)

“Revival cannot be organized, but we can set our sails to catch the wind from heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people once again.”   (G. Campbell Morgan)

“Revival awakens in our hearts an increased awareness of God, a new love for God, a new hatred for sin, and a new hunger for His Word.”   (Del Fehsenfeld, Jr.)

“Revival is not just an emotional touch; it is a complete takeover!” (Nancy Leigh DeMoss)

When Gypsy Smith, an English evangelist was asked how to have revival, he responded: “Do you have a place where you can pray? Tell you what to do. Go to that place, and take a piece of chalk along. Kneel down there, and with the chalk draw a complete circle all around you. Now pray for God to send revival on everything inside of the circle. Stay there until He answers – and you will have revival.”

What are you waiting for? Draw a circle. And, start praying!

Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that revival strts in individual hearts.
May revival start in me? Revive my heart and life.
May I fall in love with Jesus all over again?
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
